The winding up scenes. It has started, "When can we get together for one last lunch?" as well as "Now tell us again when it is that you are leaving?" and my favorite "Where did you decide to move to?"

MEDU director Alberto Barbieri takes us to lunch. He is trying to convince Tom that the Pozzallo project is needed and could we please make a decision!

We have been taking Anita and Steve Canfield to meet all of our partners. This meeting is at Casa Scalabrini 634. The Canfields were given T-shirts. Casa Scalabrini 634 has already given us shirts, but Tom was dying because he really wanted a green one. They are cool shirts, I admit! Often Tom and I discover that we are both wearing those shirts, so somebody has to go change. We have also had meetings with Red Cross, Intersos, and Baobab to introduce the Canfields. So they are currently the contacts in Rome as we graciously step aside! We still have to take them to Northern Italy to meet the partners there, but Rome is completed. Rome hand-over: check mark!

The Deseret News editor sent several hard copies of the report they did on the 'Refugees in Rome'....Our district thought it was funny to kind of 'advertise' my fame. Haha! This particular Zone Conference was our last one. Kind of took us by surprise. We were able to bear our testimony to the Zone. We have such admiration for this rising generation. What a stalwart group of people. Can't wait to see what they accomplish in life.
